WESTLAND LANDSCAPE BARK

100 litres

DESCRIPTION

Westland Landscape Bark is perfect for creating low maintenance beds & borders. It reduces the need for frequent weeding and therefore the amount of time spent on weeding. It can also be used to create rustic natural looking pathways through woodland and large borders. Additionally, the bark is produced from certified responsible conifer plantations which are grown for the timber industry.

  • 30-50mm large chips for maximum coverage
  • Helps suppress weed growth
  • Improves moisture retention around plants

Westland Landscape Bark is a specially selected grade of screened large bark chips (**approximately 30-50mm – size can vary) that can be used on flower beds and borders, trees and fruit bushes. It is an exceptional decorative ground cover mulch providing excellent weed suppression, moisture retention and thermal protection for plant roots.

HOW TO USE

Existing beds & borders

  1. Prepare the border by removing all weeds and debris.
  2. Spread a layer of bark 2.5-5 cm deep over the area ensuring that the mulch reaches under the plant canopy and covers the root area.

New beds & borders

  1. Prepare the area by removing all weeds and debris.
  2. Spread a layer of bark 2.5-5 cm deep over the area.

Top Tip: For best results, laying a perforated plastic or fabric membrane under the bark mulch is advisable to further reduce weed problems where perennial weeds occur. Cut an X shaped hole in the membrane and plant shrubs and flowers into planting hole underneath the membrane. Spread the bark chips back under the plant canopy to cover the membrane.
