We are a family run garden centre that is well known nationally as a specialist for bare rooted hedging plants and young trees. The Garden Centre always has a good selection of shrubs and plants which are not commonly found elsewhere, together with a wide range of the more commonly sought after plants. Established for over 50 years, the Garden Centre has recently been redeveloped to a high standard. Our shop contains the largest selection of seeds and bulbs for miles around, together with garden chemicals, tools, garden furniture and many other goods. Outside we stock peat-based and peat-free composts, paving, fencing, timber decking, garden buildings and greenhouses, and a large range of pots, statues and garden ornaments. Our aquatics centre has a good reputation for their excellent quality tropical, marine and cold water fish. The Gardeners' Retreat, our coffee shop/restaurant, serves fresh home cooked food and is an excellent way to round off any visit to the Garden Centre.
Kelkay is new and exciting for us at the Garden Centre. They were established 10 years ago and have a mission to “change, stimulate and inspire the garden centre industry”. We believe this has been accomplished with their displays which clearly demonstrate what you are buying and how much you will need to complete your job. Small quantities of the product can be purchased in bags or larger quantities delivered in bulk to your door.
The range includes pebbles, chipping, slates and cobbles. These are suitable for use on driveways, paths, mulching and in some cases ponds. Look out for the fish friendly logo on the bags to see which of the range you can safely use in your pond. We have in stock for collection 20 different types of their range covering all colours, shapes and sizes. If you don’t see what you are looking for simply visit the display unit which houses all the products available in the range and we will order them in for you.
Also in stock are the smaller midi bags, which can be used in exactly the same way as above. We have Summer Gold Flint and Horticultural Alpine Grit that are perfect for putting over the top of a planted pot, or on an alpine bed. Pink Horticultural Grit is also available in a larger bag and is an excellent product to mix in with your compost to aid drainage.
