Buckingham Garden Centre

We are a family run garden centre that is well known nationally as a specialist for bare rooted hedging plants and young trees. The Garden Centre always has a good selection of shrubs and plants which are not commonly found elsewhere, together with a wide range of the more commonly sought after plants. Established for over 50 years, the Garden Centre has recently been redeveloped to a high standard. Our shop contains the largest selection of seeds and bulbs for miles around, together with garden chemicals, tools, garden furniture and many other goods. Outside we stock peat-based and peat-free composts, paving, fencing, timber decking, garden buildings and greenhouses, and a large range of pots, statues and garden ornaments. Our aquatics centre has a good reputation for their excellent quality tropical, marine and cold water fish. The Gardeners' Retreat, our coffee shop/restaurant, serves fresh home cooked food and is an excellent way to round off any visit to the Garden Centre.

Welcoming the WOODLAND TRUST - Our charity of the year

The Woodland Trust's mission statement is clear - to protect ancient woodland which is rare, unique, and irreplaceable, to promote the restoration of damaged ancient woodland, and to plant native trees and woods to benefit people and wildlife.

The Woodland Trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the United Kingdom and is concerned with the creation, protection, and restoration of native woodland heritage. It has planted over 50 million trees since 1972.

The Woodland Trust maintains ownership of over 1,000 sites covering over 24,700 hectares (247 km2). Of this, 8,070ha (33%) is ancient woodland. It ensures public access to its woods.

The Woodland Trust receives funding from a wide range of sources including membership, legacies, donations and appeals, corporate supporters, grants, and charitable trusts including lottery funding and other organisations.

The Woodland Trust's Woods on Your Doorstep project created 250 'Millennium woods' to celebrate the millennium. Within a short drive of the Garden Centre we have some fine woods including Round Wood, Tingewick, College Wood (Part of College Wood), near Nash, Burcote Wood, Towcester, Daeda's Wood, Deddington and Stratfield Brake, Kidlington.

Search for other woodlands using their interactive search here.

The common theme between us and The Woodland Trust is our love of trees - so we are particularly looking forward to supporting this amazing charity in 2024. Please lend your support if you see any of their fundraising team here or on your travels.
