We are a family run garden centre that is well known nationally as a specialist for bare rooted hedging plants and young trees. The Garden Centre always has a good selection of shrubs and plants which are not commonly found elsewhere, together with a wide range of the more commonly sought after plants. Established for over 50 years, the Garden Centre has recently been redeveloped to a high standard. Our shop contains the largest selection of seeds and bulbs for miles around, together with garden chemicals, tools, garden furniture and many other goods. Outside we stock peat-based and peat-free composts, paving, fencing, timber decking, garden buildings and greenhouses, and a large range of pots, statues and garden ornaments. Our aquatics centre has a good reputation for their excellent quality tropical, marine and cold water fish. The Gardeners' Retreat, our coffee shop/restaurant, serves fresh home cooked food and is an excellent way to round off any visit to the Garden Centre.
BBOWT - BERKS, BUCKS AND OXON WILDLIFE TRUST BUCKINGHAM GARDEN CENTRE - SUPPORTED CHARITY 2020
The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. Since 1959 we have worked with local people to make Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire rich in wildlife, and protect special places for generations to come. Our vision is for more nature everywhere, and we aim to put nature into recovery through local action.
We protect wildlife. We work to give wildlife a helping hand across the three counties. This includes monitoring species and running projects to support declining species such as water voles, and threatened habitats such as chalk grassland.
We look after nature reserves. We look after more than 80 nature reserves spanning more than 2,500 hectares. Our nature reserves are central to our work to secure a better future for wildlife.
We create living landscapes. We work with other landowners to create Living Landscapes for the benefit of wildlife and people. Large-scale projects bring large-scale benefits for wildlife.
We campaign for wildlife. We run campaigns to save precious habitats and vulnerable species. We work to make sure nature's value is recognised, and to influence policy and decisions affecting wildlife.
We educate people about wildlife. We put on education programmes and events that inspire people about wildlife to ensure that as many people as possible appreciate the precious natural resources of our three counties.
