We are looking to recruit a

PLANT ADVISOR

We are looking for a Plant Advisor with a passion for plants to join the friendly team at our popular, family-run, independent Garden Centre. To provide expert advice on plant selection, care, and maintenance to our customers both face to face, by telephone and email. This role also involves assessing plant health, diagnosing issues like pests and diseases, and recommending solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to suggest plants for different situations with knowledge of growth habits, and care requirements.

• Ability to identify plants and diagnose plant problems and suggest solutions.

• Good knowledge of soil science, plant nutrition, and pest and disease control.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with our customers and computer literate

• Key Holder duties.

• Assistant plant buyer - this role can be taught if the candidate has no experience in this

The role could be expanded to include managing the Garden Centre P.R., social media, talks and gardening events if the successful candidate wanted to pursue these areas.
