We are looking for an Administrative Assistant with enthusiasm and a passion for all things gardening to join the friendly team at our popular, family-run, independent business.

The position involves working within the plant information office and sometimes outside in the plant sales area. The ideal candidate will have reasonable plant knowledge, an interest in gardening and excellent customer service and communication skills. Also needed are good computer skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Retail experience in a garden centre or similar environment would be beneficial.

The job involves providing an informative and efficient service to customers regarding advice when plants are requested and taking their orders. Producing labels and point of sale signage for use by the Plant Area Teams. To assist the Plant Sales & Information Office staff by providing administrative support.

Computer literacy will be needed. Training will be given on our mail order system.

Full time position 78.5 hours per fortnight on a ten day rota including alternate weekends.
