Buckingham Garden Centre

We are a family run garden centre that is well known nationally as a specialist for bare rooted hedging plants and young trees. The Garden Centre always has a good selection of shrubs and plants which are not commonly found elsewhere, together with a wide range of the more commonly sought after plants. Established for over 50 years, the Garden Centre has recently been redeveloped to a high standard. Our shop contains the largest selection of seeds and bulbs for miles around, together with garden chemicals, tools, garden furniture and many other goods. Outside we stock peat-based and peat-free composts, paving, fencing, timber decking, garden buildings and greenhouses, and a large range of pots, statues and garden ornaments. Our aquatics centre has a good reputation for their excellent quality tropical, marine and cold water fish. The Gardeners' Retreat, our coffee shop/restaurant, serves fresh home cooked food and is an excellent way to round off any visit to the Garden Centre.

Artworks - a brief background to the artists


Judy Sharpe

Judy Sharpe was trained in Fine Art and Printmaking at Southampton and Bath Academy.  She specialises in detailed observational work, often developed into watercolours.  She has exhibited at the Mall Gallery and the Craft Centre in London.


John Sharpe

John Sharpe was trained in Painting and Sculpture at Chelsea College of Art.  He has exhibited in the Home Counties and at The Royal Institute of Watercolour Artists in London.  Recently he has started to exhibit sculptures with the Oxford Group.


Kate Morgan

Kate Morgan has a degree in Fine Art from Loughborough College of Art and a Masters Degree in Illustration from Falmouth.  She specialises in very complex images in black and white, as well as very colourful silk paintings.  Recently she had a solo exhibition at Milton Keynes University.


Zietra Rutter

Zietra Rutter is a linguist and artist who recently studied Fine Art and Printmaking where her work was selected to be part of a travelling exhibition to illustrate ‘excellence’ in education.  She is particularly interested in dance and movement through her daughter’s work as a professional dancer.


Karen Jones

Karen Jones lives locally and specialises in very dramatically lit images, mainly in black and white.  She has exhibited her photographs nationally and accepts commissions from her studio in Leckhampstead.


Jane Scott

Jane Scott trained at Leicester College of Art and Textiles, her work developing into very detailed screen prints.  She specialises in watercolours and now mans a business restoring paintings and framing all types of artwork.


Guy Scott

Guy Scott lives locally and for many years was Director of Art at Stowe School.  He trained in Fine Art and has exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists in London and has also exhibited in Scotland and at the National Trust in The New Inn at Stowe.  He is a Patron of the local art society BAFA and has lectured at art societies all over the country.
